Boy.
You were young, unbridled, wildly unaware of adulthood
You were afraid, attached still to mother's breast, and yet wished to peal away
You were stupid, making promises and giving away your heart to me, without certainty
You were unfair, asleep half the time, never bothered to consider my soul
You were lustful, though still a boy, it came as no surprise, that you thought of love only with your eyes
You were lacking, in everything but handsomeness, I must remind myself of your unique pairing
You were shallow, relying on pretentiousness and conceit to carry your insecurities
And then you were gone, and I missed you- young, afraid, stupid, unfair, lustful, lacking, shallow, lovely man.
